Affordable housing should take priority over veggies
Which is the more ethical choice: MaryAnn Murray’s friend’s right to grow vegetables in their yard or 18 to 20 people’s access to affordable housing [“ Church has plan for lot”, April 12-19]?
Vegetables or people, what is more important? It does not seem a difficult choice, especially in a city so desperate for affordable housing.

Vegetables ofcourse. If you can't afford Vancouver then you don't belong here.

Affordable housing, while important, is not the only factor in creating a liveable city. If every square inch is paved over, Vancouver will not be worth living in. Done properly, there is room for affordable housing AND veggies.
