The Canadian men's 8 rowing team has captured a silver medal at the London Games. Their late push took them to a second-place finish behind Germany.
Canada won gold in this event in 2008 in Beijing.
Also in Olympic news, Mission-born Brent Hayden took the bronze medal in the 100-metre freestyle swimming event.
It was Canada's sixth medal so far this year.
