Firefighters find dead body in West End building
Various media outlets are reporting that an elderly woman has been found dead after a fire in her 22nd-storey suite in a West End high-rise.
According to a CBC report, it's unclear whether or not the fire had anything to do with her death.
She lived in Sunset Towers, which provides subsidized housing in two concrete buildings in the 1600 block of Haro Street.
According to the B.C. Housing website, there are 480 units on the site. The buildings were were constructed in 1976.
