Hiker who died below Capilano Suspension Bridge was a tourist from St. Catharines, Ontario
North Vancouver RCMP have identified the hiker who died in the canyon below the Capilano Suspension Bridge on Saturday (June 2).
He's a 30-year-old man from St. Catharines, Ontario. The RCMP are respecting his family's request not to release his name.
According to a statement issued by the Mounties, the man fell approximately 200 feet (or 61 meters).
"There does not appear to be any criminal intent related to this incident," the RCMP stated.
The man was on vacation with his extended family.
