Hostage-taking shuts down Granville Street Bridge
Update (12:54 p.m.): Vancouver police say the hostage-taking has been resolved "peacefully".
No one was injured and one man is in custody, according to the VPD.
Granville Street remains closed between Drake and Davie streets.
Original post (12:25 p.m.): Vancouver police say they are dealing with a hostage-taking in downtown Vancouver.
The incident is unfolding at a store in the 1200 block of Granville Street, according to a VPD news release issued just after noon today (November 28).
The Granville Street Bridge and Granville Street, north of Davie Street, have been closed.
Police say they responded to the hostage-taking before 11:30 a.m.
