Keep resisting reactionary conservative hordes
This is to compliment your many informative, varied articles. And cartoons—especially the cartoons showing Christy Clark bug-eyed, aimless, and desperate-looking.
Additionally, “Right-wing zealots rise up” [April 12-19] was necessary. It was about Danielle Smith and her now-wilted Wildrose party of Alberta, clearly demonstrating the absurdity and narrow-mindedness of the galloping conservative hordes.
Also most appropriate was “Harper repeats Republican lines on energy” [April 19-26]. Conservative MPs are to be feared more than Republicans because they have at least three years remaining to continue with their blatant and dangerous abuse of position and power.
These self-serving myopic zealots—with their 40-percent electoral support, if that—possess a 100-percent holier-than-thou, callous attitude over their victims: students, seniors, the working poor, and the middle class. Rarely are the rich asked to contribute to the betterment of this country.
It is well known that Stephen Harper is an evangelical member of the Alliance Church, an organization that prohibits women from being ordained and is opposed to divorce, homosexuality, and abortion. Please stand steadfast against the Big Lie.
