Lawyer David Eby to become NDP candidate for Vancouver-Point Grey

High-profile lawyerDavid Eby is preparing for a political rematch against Liberal premier Christy Clark in the Vancouver-Point Grey riding.

Eby is set to be acclaimed as the New Democrat candidate in the riding during a nomination meeting on Dec. 6., the party announced in a news release today (November 9).

Eby, who is the executive director of the B.C. Civil Liberties Association, lost a May 2011 byelection to Clark in Vancouver-Point Grey.

The next provincial general election takes place in May 2013.

It will be interesting to see if the people of Point Grey elect the man who withdrew his legal observers only hours before the violence at the 2010 Olympics. It's my guess that most people in this riding don't know this yet- but, they will...

Great news! Perhaps Christy can bring up Karl Rove and his boys to help in her campaign.
If he wins, Dave will be a great MLA.

At last progressive voters of Point Grey will get the intelligent and honest candidate they need! He should wipe the floor with Clark.

If having a dedicated internet stalker is a sign of success, then David Eby is doing very well. He'll be an excellent MLA!

This is GREAT...... a sure winner in the hearts of people here.....David, Kissy Clarke is really turning people off...... I know people in this district who are so sick and tired of her intrusions into our lives...... pissing us off to the extent that people are turning offtheir TV's myself included......... I am ready to take our Province back from the likes of G. Campbell who ransacked it and I want him dragged up before the people..... to be accountable to us..... the other one trying to get in is the same person G.C. in a dress...... comon people lets get mad Robert
