On July 7, the paddling community will gather at Jericho Beach to for the annual day-long MEC Paddlefest celebration.

There will be workshops, clinics, and opportunities for beginners to learn how to get out on the water safely.

There will also free activities for kids, including "pony rides", which offer supervised sit-on-top paddling.

The full schedule of events is available here.

The weather was looking bleak earlier this week, so the event was rescheduled from today (June 23) until the first weekend in July.
