Murray Rankin says he's seeking federal NDP nomination in Victoria
Murray Rankin is one of B.C.'s best-known public-interest lawyers, as well as past president of West Coast Environmental Law.
And now, he wants to become the federal NDP candidate in Victoria in an upcoming by-election. The seat is open as a result of last month's retirement of NDP MP Denise Savoie.
In the 1990s, Rankin played a major role in the development of B.C.'s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Recently, he argued strongly in favour of a "made-in-B.C." review of the Enbridge pipeline proposal, which has been promoted by the provincial NDP.

Murray Rankin, if he gets the nod, will take my vote away from the NDP. If he doesn't get the nomination......I don;t know what to do.
