Pacific Theatre has built a wonderful local legacy
This is a great article on the history and current state of Vancouver’s theatre scene [“ Theatre takes centre stage at the Jessie awards”, June 21-28]. However, I do feel obligated to point out that there is one more producing company in town that has its own venue: Pacific Theatre.
Pacific Theatre has been around for almost 30 years, and has been in the Chalmers Heritage Building for 20 years. We are in the unique position of being one of the only midsize theatre companies in town with our own space, giving us the opportunity to produce a wide variety of work and involve other companies—many of which are smaller and project-based—as coproducers, presenters, and guest producers.
