I’m extremely disappointed that the Straight thought that it was okay to publish this article [“No Doubt turned itself in to the PC police”, November 8-15]. It’s obviously written by someone with their head in the sand when it comes to cultural appropriation, and seeing this in your paper made me really sad.
You’ve probably lost quite a few readers after this. It’s just so horrible and misinformed and entitled. Not only was it offensive, but ignorant as well. I would expect to see something like this from Fox News, not a Vancouver publication. Most of it borders on a type of stupidity that is almost inexcusable, not to mention racist.
Way to go.
