Three B.C. Liberal backbench MLAs to seek reelection
The B.C. Liberal party has announced that three backbench MLAs want to seek reelection when voters head to the polls in May 2013.
Riding nomination meetings are scheduled in the coming weeks for Kootenay East MLA Bill Bennett, Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm, and Nechako Lakes MLA John Rustad, according to a news release today (August 22).
Bennett, the longest-serving MLA of the three, was first elected in 2001 and is a former cabinet minister.
