Vancouver woman wins Miss Universe Canada—but it's not Jenna Talackova

The Miss Universe Canada 2012 pageant probably generated more media attention than the last 10 pageants put together.

That's because the first transgender contestant, Vancouver's Jenna Talackova, was competing against 61 other beauties.

In the end, though, it was another Vancouver woman, Sahar Biniaz, who emerged on top. Born in India and raised in Iran, the 26-year-old works as an actor in film and television.

Biniaz will compete in the Miss Universe competition in December.

Talackova was among the top 12, and ended up in a four-way tie in the prize for Miss Congeniality.

Pageant junkies who didn't catch the show can check out the video below to see part of what they missed.

I know personally know Sahar and the woman on that stage is not her. Or perhaps it is and she's had a lot of plastic surgery done. It makes no sense as she was absolutely gorgeous to begin with. Even if you look at the pictures on her website you can see that it doesn't even look like the same person.

      how soon is now

I can't tell who's more surgically altered: Jenna Talackova or Sahar Biniaz.
