Quebec My Country Mon Pays

Documentarian John Walker (A Drummer’s Dream, VIFF 10) brings us a very personal reflection on the exodus of anglophones from Quebec that began after the first independence referendum in 1980. An expatriate Quebecer himself, Walker illuminates the provinces change from a bilingual and bicultural community to an inward-looking hegemony. Featuring interviews with prominent thinkers including Denys Arcand and Jacques Godbout, this is an unrequited love letter to the province of his birth.
