On Limited, Ryan Hauschild has turned his former rock band Winston into a solo project with an organic, indie-pop tang. On this six-track EP, the singer hits an unmanly falsetto a little too frequently, but with introspective lyrics and satiating instrumentation, "All Alone" and "Saying the Same Thing" reveal a new-found sensitivity. "Denim" is loaded with hooks, and the title track is tame, but satisfying. The artist's signature voice-doubling and scarce harmonies are among the few attributes that reappear from his past work. Also acting as producer, Hauschild recorded the entire album on analogue equipment. With the occasional intonation blip and less-than-precise performances, Limited isn't perfect, but these flaws give the recording the winning feel of a live performance.
