It occurred to me, with all this interest in Polish traveller Robert Dziekanski and the fatal Tasering by RCMP at the Vancouver airport, to wonder how Tasers actually work. I mean, I'm used to seeing Veronica Mars whip one out of her purse and stun the bad guy, but how do they work? Why is it that critics of the Dziekanski affair see pepper spray as fine, guns as bad, and Tasers as more bad than good?
