Vancouver city council unanimously passes EcoDensity charter

Vancouver city council unanimously approved the EcoDensity charter, according to  a record  of yesterday's meeting obtained from the city clerk's office.

Council also unanimously approved the first action, which is to require developers to obtain LEED Silver certification for LEED-eligible buildings in rezonings.

One proposed action dealing with leftover lots in old apartment zones failed to pass after the NPA caucus voted  it down along with  the COPE and Vision Vancouver councillors.
