Slumdog Millionaire wins eight Oscars

Well, it was a given, but Slumdog Millionaire won the best picture.

The award caps off an evening in which it won eight Oscars in total, including best song, best director, and best adapated screenplay.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button won only three.

Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie (Changeling) and Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) both went home empty handed.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of impact the win of Slumdog Millionaire will have on forthcoming movie projects in both Hollywood and Bollywood.

The Oscars conclude an amazing winning streak for Slumdog, which won seven awards at the BAFTAs. all four of its Golden Globe nominations, and many more.
