Sonny Rollins, David Sanborn to play Vancouver International Jazz Festival

Sonny Rollins, David Sanborn, Enrico Rava, and Kenny Werner are among the artists set to perform at the 24th annual Vancouver International Jazz Festival, which will be held from June 26 to July 5.

Rollins will perform at the Orpheum on June 29. The Grammy-winning saxophonist last played at the festival in 2007, in a sold-out performance. Tickets for this show are on sale now.

Tickets for the festival’s Classic Sounds at the Centre Series go on sale next Thursday (March 26) at 10 a.m.

Alto-sax legend Sanborn will appear on June 27, trumpeter Rava on July 3, and pianist Werner on June 30.

Also scheduled to perform are guitar heroes Al Di Meola (June 29) and Derek Trucks (June 27), pianist Chucho Valdés (July 4), and trumpeter Randy Brecker (June 30).
