For the in the first quarter of 2009, CBU (CBC Radio One) garnered a market share of 11 percent, surpassing CKNW's share of 10.1 percent.

Those figures are a reversal from the stations' standings in 2008. Finally: I believe its becoming increasingly clear that CKNW is without substance anymore. It is just totally boring, from 6am to 3pm its a constant run of non stop blab about nothing. Bill Good has lost it. He has grown tired and boring. Christy Clarke? What is this about. She's just a raving self promoter. CKNW does one thing well though. Its barely masked total public relations for the Liberals is truly something to behold. Jon McComb is tolerable then its gutter trash in the evening with Adler. Lmao. This station would do well to diversify its opinion. Maybe mix it up a bit. Its become the bastion of the rightwing and has turned into "hate radio".

Bill Good has become (or perhaps has always been) soft. He seems afraid to challenge any guest and seems to allow people to say whatever they like, unchallenged by actual facts. Perhaps he is too busy to keep up on various topics. Christy Clarke can't last, she brings nothing. However, Adler on the other hand at least attempts to entertain and while his political stripes are known at least he doesn't try to claim he is completely impartial. In other words, you know what your getting. And the fact is, he is syndicated from the Winnipeg sister station and so his topics rarely include BC specific events.

That all said, I can't for the life of me understand what the draw is to CBC Radio. Talk about pretentious crap! I'll put that station on when I want to prove that our tax dollars are wasted on CBC. Most of the programming is utter nonsense and the broadcast personalities have even less personality then Bill or Christy. These people must have friends in high places. And if people complain that CKNW are in the pockets of the Right, it is pattantly obvious that CBC has a hard left-wing, anti-conservative slant, so no marks for impartiality there either.

Talk radio is definitely lacking in Vancouver. There needs to be personalities that can fire up an audience and create some good discussion while also providing "some" entertainment value. A little charisma goes a long way. So far, only Adler even tries to make things entertaining.

Just got to hear first hand today, Bill Good's arrogant Liberal partisanship (June 18th, 2010 10:50 AM ish), when a caller (Inderjit), called him out for being so partisan to the Liberals. Well Bill Good exploded on the air and SWORE at the caller!!! Talk about showing his true arrogant Gord Campbell-ish attitude and cemented his place as the ULTIMATE LAP DOG OF the GUIDO SCAMPBELL MAFIA.
