Continuum: Vision and Creativity on the Northwest Coast at the Bill Reid Gallery

    1 of 1 2 of 1

A major show at the Bill Reid Gallery proves that works from the Northwest Coast are art, not artifact. Continuum: Vision and Creativity on the Northwest Coast takes in commissioned works from 23 aboriginal artists from B.C., Washington state, and Alaska, including Sonny Assu, Mike Dangeli, Ian Reid, and Shaun Peterson. Throw out any preconceptions you have about First Nations art: prepare for photo-animation, textiles, sculpture, and everything in between—including Shawn Hunt’s poppy Trickster. The exhibit runs through January.
