Olympic flame arrives in B.C.

Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson has returned to B.C. from Greece  with the Olympic flame.

The flame is being carried from the Victoria airport to the Parliament Buildings, where a celebration will take place tonight beginning at 6:30 with musicians, performers, acrobatics, dancers, and artists. In addtion, many athletes will be present.

According to Vanoc, the Olympic Flame will arrive at 7:30 p.m.

Over the next 106 days, an Olympic torch will travel 45,000 kilometres across Canada, passing through every province and territory, before entering B.C. Place Stadium during the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Games. Approximately 12,000 people will carry the torch in this country.
