What a bunch of carp and waste of money used by politicians to turn us in to mindless lemmings. I won't be there!

Boring and a huge waste of our money. The folks benefitting are corporations like pop companies. and of course Gordo and crew will be hanging around the cameras. A sporting event turned into a traffic problem, over hyped security. Can't turn on the radio or TV without someone babbling about just how great, we own the podium and other stupid stuff.

I love the olympics. It's a great opportunity to welcome the world, and show how beautiful our city and the province is. To all those critics claiming "healthcare before olympics" and other crap: Stop it, I can't hear it anymore. We would have been much worse in the current recession without all the jobs and economic value add that the games create.

We are so bless having the Olympics here; How many people are spending a lot of money coming here?; Living in Vancouver is already like being a millionarie, so why don't we enjoy the greatest experience that it's been offer to us. We have spent a lot of money , but at least we know where the money is going. Vancouver looks like a new city.
God bless you guys.

I think the Olympics suck big time, but I'm gonna see the torch on Thursday ... in fact, I might be able to see it twice as it passes through different parts of my neighborhood. I want to see "the best Olympic torch that money can buy"!

Fantastic!!!! I just wish that the electic feeling that you feel out on the streets downtown would last well beyond the Olympics - but I am going to enjoy every minute I can while it lasts!!!! Thank you Gordon Cambell and John Furlong for giving us the Olympics and saving your financial asses during the worst economic downturn in memory. You doubtors forget that when the government spends money it buys goods and services (pays your wages) . Where is the downside. I am enjoying my paycheque thank you very much. Ask Ontario if they would trade places?

I can't wait for anyone in my family or group of friends to have their Olympic experience marred by protesters. There will be consequences. And that's a promise!

healthcare before olympics? tell the nurses to get off facebook/farmville at least 1hr of an 8hr shift. Then healthcare will be more efficient.
