LunarFest’s lantern walk on Granville Street

Now here’s an atmospheric way to welcome the majestic tiger: on Saturday night (February 13), on the eve of Lunar New Year—the year of the big, striped cat—head down to Granville Street between Robson and Georgia. That’s where the celebrated Public Dreams Society will lead a lantern parade through LunarFest’s gorgeous, twinkling lantern forest and otherworldly art installations, all set to live music. Leave it to the Dreams people—the same ones who have brought you Illuminares and Parade of the Lost Souls—to make something creative and fun out of an ancient ceremony. Don’t have a lantern of your own to take along? At the same site, there are workshops to craft them earlier on in the day.
