New on DVD/Blu-ray: Le Petit Nicolas, Predator, Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage, St. Urbain's Horseman, The Crazies

DVD/Blu-ray releases for June 29, 2010.

Le Petit Nicolas (Little Nicholas)
Based on the much-loved children’s book, this stylish French comedy follows the exploits of the precocious eight-year-old Nicolas, his ridiculous friends, and how he copes with the idea that his mother might be pregnant.

Predator
Full disclosure: there is no movie protagonist we love as much as Predator—such a noble creature, hunting humans for sport in the Amazon jungle. It’s just a shame that that evil Arnold Schwarzenegger guy has to destroy him.

Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage
The only dudes we may love more than Predator are the guys from Rush. Through interviews and archival footage, directors Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen serve up an in-depth look at the legendary prog-rock trio.

St. Urbain’s Horseman
Based on an award-winning Mordecai Richler novel, this two-part CBC miniseries centres on Jake Hersh (The Trotsky’s David Julian Hirsh), a Jewish-Canadian filmmaker who has been accused of a horrible crime. Also starring Elliott Gould and Michael Riley (Being Erica).

The Crazies
In this remake of the same-named 1973 George Romero horror film, a military plane crash-lands in a rural Midwestern town and its cargo contaminates the local water supply—with predictably horrific results.
