On-line recall poll in Fort St. John not looking good for Liberal MLA Pat Pimm
An on-line poll on a Fort St. John Web site indicates that 82 percent of respondents would support an initiative to recall Pat Pimm, B.C. Liberal MLA for Peace River North, in November.
At the time the Straight accessed the poll, which is not scientific, 330 people had cast votes, with 271 of them answering yes to the question, “Would you support the MLA recall campaign in November?” Only 44 votes were no votes (13 percent), while 15 were unsure (five percent).
Pimm won the seat by less than 1,100 votes in a tight race that included independent candidate and farmer Arthur Hadland.
Speaking by cellphone today (June 30), Hadland confirmed he led the recent drive for anti-HST signatures in his riding, where he and Pimm garnered 2,899 and 3,992 votes, respectively, in the May 2009 provincial election.
“I was leading the [anti-HST] fight, and recently [Bill] Vander Zalm and [Chris] Delaney and I all toured the Peace area,” Hadland added.
In total, 8,303 of Pimm’s constituents signed the HST petition, more than twice the number of votes Pimm received.
Pimm did not grant the Straight an interview.

www.energeticcity.ca is not the City of Fort St John's website, it is an online news website. If you are looking for the City's site, it is www.fortstjohn.ca

its funny that the Liberals MLAs are not "jumping ship" now that "Campbell" is gone (or should I say underground). they all seem to be held together, at least we all know where they all are. Looks like our friend Mr. Campbell is still "pulling the strings".
only hope is work as fast as you can on the Recalls, its obvious the Liberals are looking for "time" .
