Ozzy Osbourne opens his Vancouver show with "Bark at the Moon"
"Let the madness begin!" hollered Ozzy before kicking off his set at Rogers Arena with one of his best songs, the title track of his 1983 album, Bark at the Moon. New guitarist Gus G did an admirable job recreating Jake E. Lee's frenzied licks on that tune. And we don't have to endure Zakk Wylde's incessant gobbing anymore.
Georgia Straight music writer Steve Newton is posting items of interest from tonight's (November 14) Ozzy Osbourne concert at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. Check out the full review tomorrow at www.straight.com/music.

Actually, Dio was far more superior than Ozzy, especially during Dio's solo albums, and the Dio era Sabbath stuff is on par, if not better than the Ozzy material.....As for the show itself, Ozzy can put on a show, granted that, but Halford was far superior in the both presence and vocals....Ozzy may be the Prince of darkness, but Halford is The Metal God!

OMG, children! I liked Dio's music, one of a kind and a true legend to always be remembered. However, lets just look at who had a more successful solo career?
Ozzy's a classic front man, Dio's was a phenomenal vocalist.
I went for Halford too, I couldn't risk missing him do Jawbreaker. The whole concept of the Metal God, with the Prince of Darkness on one bill is just too much to pass up, and SOOOOOO much better than when he was here with Zombie last time! Sorry Rob, your movies are cool, your image was kinda cool the first time around, but the smoke and mirrors will only cover the fact that your music is too redundant for so long.

you guys are hilarious....I'm just going on 37 and I've been a metal head for all of my adult life and a product of a more laid back rock and roll era in the 70's but I don't ever criticize the music...it takes courage at anytime to perform now matter how shit or how good you are....ballz to the wallz people, wouldn't catch me up there belting out a tune...lol I know I could if I wanted, lol

incessant gobbing?... Steve Newton dude your and idiot, if it weren't FOR Zakk Wylde Ozzy would probably have retired and passed away, Zakk breathed new life INTO the Ozzy Osbourne Band, and kept it rolling hard for many many years, Gus will do fine I am sure, but your favorite band is probably Hanson anyhow.
