Vancouver Whitecaps take Seattle midfielder with first pick in Major League Soccer expansion draft

With their first pick (second overall), the Vancouver Whitecaps plucked speedy midfielder Sanna Nyassi from the Seattle Sounders today (November 24).

The 21-year-old Gambian played in 24 games for the Sounders in the 2010 MLS season scoring twice and adding three assists.

With their second selection, the Caps grabbed midfielder Atiba Harris from FC Dallas.

The Whitecaps and expansion cousins the Portland Timbers will each make 10 selections in today's dispersal draft as they begin the process of building rosters to start play next spring.
