Video: Pamela Anderson opposes oil tankers in Vancouver Harbour

Pamela Anderson is speaking out against the presence of oil tankers in Vancouver Harbour.

The Vancouver Island–raised actor, who played C.J. on Baywatch, appears in a new public-service announcement for the NoTanks.org website.

“When I heard there was going to be crude oil shipped out of Vancouver, I had to say, ”˜No tanks,’” Anderson says in the video. “A 30-second navigational error could be catastrophic.”

CBC News reported earlier this year that, according to Port Metro Vancouver, the amount of crude oil transported by tankers through Burrard Inlet has tripled in five years.

Being in the celebrity spotlight Pam can make a difference in raising awareness. Yeah, she's flaky but I give her credit.

The majority of British Columbians just have become lazy in allowed Gordon Campbell to take the reigns and turn this province into a Cooperation with our taxpayers money and at our expense. Not to mention that he increased his salary and walks away with a handsome pension.

Why did it take an 80 yr old Bill Vanderzalm to start a recall petition for the HST?

If life in Vancouver ever swings on what Pamela Anderson has to say, God help us, we will have become as dumb as Americans.
