Stephen Harper tweets he’s “very concerned” about CRTC’s usage-based billing decision

      In the midst of a public outcry, Prime Minister Stephen Harper has let it be known he’s uneasy about the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s decision to allow usage-based billing for Internet service.

      “We’re very concerned about CRTC’s decision on usage-based billing and its impact on consumers,” Harper tweeted today (February 1). “I’ve asked for a review of the decision.”

      Harper’s Twitter post came after the federal Liberals and NDP took positions against usage-based billing.

      According to the Globe and Mail, the federal government will determine by March 1 whether it will overturn the CRTC’s ruling or let it stand.

      An online petition spearheaded by the group OpenMedia.ca has gathered 220,000 signatures against the practice, also known as Internet metering.

      students can least afford this with the cost of getting an education going no place but up.

      Harper? Concerned? That's an oxymoran of epic proportions! Unless of course it's donations from the eliet to his political ambitions. People he could care less!

      Canadians insist Harper's Government leave the cable rates alone. I do know there is plenty who say enough is enough and with an election looming Harper dosen't want to be dethroned.
