National Film Board of Canada releases Android application

The National Film Board of Canada previously released a free iPhone application in 2009 and an iPad application in 2010. These popular apps enabled users to access the NFB's extensive on-line collection of documentary and animated films while on the go.

Now the NFB is going Android.

Canada's public producer is releasing a mobile phone application for the Android platform that will allow users to browse over 2,000 films by thematic channels, create favourites lists, and share films by e-mail, Twitter or Facebook.

To download the application, visit the NFB site or the entertainment category of the Android Market.
