For those of you who still haven't made Mother's Day reservations, there's a new restaurant opening in Coal Harbour on Saturday (May 7). Tableau Bar Bistro (1181 Melville Street) is a Paris bistro-meets-New York bar-type restaurant located in the swanky Loden Hotel (1117 Melville Street).

Executive chef Marc-André Choquette and Executive sous chef Tret Jordan preside over the French-inspired brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. Also available will be a take-out menu—perfect for downtown's "too busy to cook" crowd. Drinks will include seasonal in-house and classic cocktails, local beers on tap, and wines from France and other regions.

The upscale yet relaxed restaurant features classic bistro interiors, including brass details, marble, and leather banquets chosen by Vancouver interior designer Franco Avignoni. The restaurant also features an outdoor patio and two event spaces as well as a private dining room.

Visit the Tableau Bar Bistro website for more details.
