Rush Limbaugh may be the most irritating broadcaster in the world

Aren't you glad you don't have to listen to this guy in Canada?

The liberal media-watchdog group Media Matters for America has reported that Limbaugh "whitewashed" George W. Bush's economic record to make Barack Obama look like he's solely responsible for the current economic mess.

In fact, the U.S. economy shrank by 8.9 percent in the final quarter of 2008 when Bush was president.

In the taped segment, Limbaugh suggested that the Obama administration cooked up a claim that Standard & Poor's made a $2-trillion accounting error before downgrading the U.S. credit rating.

The reality is that the New York Times confirmed the $2-trillion blunder.

"The Treasury called the company and explained the problem," the Times reported. "About an hour later, the company conceded the problem but did not indicate how it planned to proceed, the official said. Hours later, S.& P. issued a revised release with new numbers but the same conclusion."

Limburger is a known hypocrite & drug abuser. If he can't find something nasty enough to say he'll invent it. He's the national enquirer of the air waves.

What's most 'fun' about listening to Limbaugh is to realize how unapologetically wrong he is, year in and year out.

His factual howlers are astonishing, innumerable, and shameless.

Limbaugh accused Michael J Fox of faking his Parkinson's. Claims that volcanoes deplete the ozone layer by adding 'chlorine' to it. Claims that US banks "take the risk" when ensuring student loans, and are therefore entitled to "take the profits". (There are zero risks. Student loans are guaranteed by the US Dept of Education.)

Limbaugh claims "there is no such thing as an implied contract". Every first year law student knows otherwise.

Limbaugh shamelessly claims that "The poorest people in America are better off than the mainstream families of Europe." (Radio show, quoted in FRQ, Spring/93)

REALITY: The average cash income of the poorest 20 percent of Americans is $5,226; the average cash income of four major European nations--Germany, France, United Kingdom and Italy--is $19,708.

His Foxy lies are the stuff of legend. And there are SO MANY MORE to chase down. Here's a good site: http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=1895, should you wish to do so.

AND: this 'family values' Christian Republican is currently on Wife No. 4. And no Republican dares call him on his unBiblical hypocrisy.

It does make one fear for the gullibility of some of our American cousins. Eh?

Rush is an entertainer and that is it. He makes millions for his dribble.
Responding to him and listening to him helps his ratings and therefore he makes more money.

I must agree now that the HST Stickman retired. They made me sick and they will be remembered as the Sickmen.

Wow. The hatred spewed by liberal protectors of free speech is whelming. Jiggering facts/percentages about the economy and employment is reprehensible. My Memory says that G.W.Bush gave BHO the reins to the economy after election results ( the last quarter of 2008) prior to ascension to the White House. Business looked at the election of avowed liberal as a time to re-trench, protect itself and cut spending, growth and job creation with the certainty that BHO would confiscate every bit of their profit that he could. I know facts are a bother but spin and only showing one side of a situation is non-productive.

A comment on the comment by Mr Thomas Pitfall. At this time I can not agree or disagree with your comment. I am sorry but I do not understand the facts outlined. I will consult with my Oak Bay girl friend and hopefully be in a position to agree with you.
