Kitsilano Pool stays open an extra week

Yo bathers, Kitsilano Pool is staying open for a extra week until September 18 thanks to our extended heatwave.

Perhaps the management should consider this as a permanent measure, since Vancouver’s summer season has been shifting to the right for some years now. June is always a washout, things start cooking in July—give or take a wildcard rainy season like this year’s—and then we bake in August and September. Or that’s how it looks according to my totally unscientific survey.

Anybody else notice this change?

great ..but what about outdoor pool in west end or in brighton park on the east side or...elsewhere in Vancouver.... - there is a heatwave there too...and people in all areas of the city deserve equal treatment! why is that the westside people get more attention and breaks than eastside residents, or do they?
