Nickelback proves funnier than Radiohead, Bjork, and Alice Cooper
Unlike 99 percent of humanity, we’re happy to admit around the Straight office that we don’t find Nickleback even half as unlistenable as (take your pick): Bjork, Radiohead, Limp Bizkit, or Creed. And you know what? Chad Kroeger and the boys have just built up even more goodwill at the water cooler for their new Funny or Die video, which you can check out below. Some musicians have zero ability to laugh at themselves. Remember Alice Cooper hanging up on Nardwuar the Human Serviette? We do. Oasis walking offstage after getting pelted by a shoe in Vancouver?
Nickelback is obviously able to see the humour in being both the biggest, and arguably, the most hated band in the world. Furthermore, you can bet Bjork, Radiohead, and Creed wouldn’t be willing to take to the Intraweb to tackle their critics. And sure Limp Bizkit would, but only because, at this point in the game, Fred Durst is so desperate to keep the band’s name out there, he’ll do anything, including happily showing up for the Howard Stern show on Anal Ring Toss Tuesdays.

All this really proves is that Nickelback heeds the advice of their publicist in a painful bid to hang on to their integrity or a close approximation of.
One step forward for these guys still has them a star-distance behind the rest.
Also, remember that swan dress Bjork wore? She has a sense of humour. Meanwhile, Chad's shitty 90s goattee & frosted tips remain ferocious fashion crimes...

By naming bands or people that you think are worse than nickleback doesn't make them good. It just shows the company in which their music belongs.

I've actually driven the band and family members around Vancouver, and found them all to be far more down to earth and funny then my preconceived notions. Their music sells so stop hating the winners...And Chad has a hockey rink under his house, that is about the coolest Canadian thing you could have.
