TEAM Burnaby council candidate Lee Rankin has missed the cut for a spot on council—again.

As in 2008, the former long-time councillor’s party, TEAM Burnaby, was completely wiped out by Mayor Derek Corrigan’s Burnaby Citizens Association, which easily scooped all eight council seats.

“The civic unions and the NDP have really put their concerted efforts behind BCA and Vision, and they have the organizational resources and the backing of a federal, provincial party, and it works very well, Rankin told the Straight by phone. ”
