Hit up Shizenya for healthy and reasonably priced sushi

With an emphasis on health-conscious, high-quality ingredients, Shizenya is a cut above other casual sushi spots in Vancouver yet remains reasonably priced. (A six-piece salmon and avocado roll, for example, is $2.95.) Both locations (1102 West Broadway, 985 Hornby Street) offer a tranquil atmosphere and sushi made with organic brown rice and Ocean Wise fish. Inari sushi and spicy tuna cones come stuffed with quinoa instead of rice. Salads feature organic greens, teriyaki dishes are made without oil, and there’s even a spinach-chickpea version of curry rice. Best of all, the food not only makes you feel good, but it’s also delicious.
