SXSW Day 4: massive crowds, DJs galore, and trip to the Dirty South

Day 4 of the South By Southwest Music Festival was a busy Friday in Austin, Texas, with the crowds seeming never-ending and the lines for Official SXSW Parties everywhere as a busy St. Patrick's Day weekend added to the already massive SXSW crowds invading the downtown core.

We decided to hit up the Green Label Sound showcase with a mega lineup of taste-making producers and DJs and new school and old school rap legends. Chicago's DJ duo Flosstradamus opened up the party with a huge club music set going back and forth from hood-based rap anthems to hard-style rave anthems and selections from their upcoming Mad Decent EP and their massive new remix of the Major Lazer single "Original Don"

RAC DJs followed with a perfect indie disco DJ and p.a. set with a selection of their remixes they have done for the likes of Foster the People, Two Door Cinema Club, and Empire of the Sun. RAC DJs have been consistently putting out quality indie dance remixes for the last couple years for the likes of Phoenix, The Shins, Edward Sharpe, and Theophilus London, and from the crowd reaction it looks like RAC are here to stay.

Three6Mafia's Juicy J headlined the party with a huge club rap show to a packed outdoor tent of "Trippy Mane" addicts! Juicy J and twenty of his "best" friends stormed the stage and went through his solo material and Three6Mafia southern classics, and surprised the crowd by bringing out Taylor Gang Records family Wiz Khalifa, Chevy Woods, and Lola Monroe to perform with him.

After a Whattaburger drive-through session we called it a night, knowing we will need all the energy we can muster for the last night of SXSW 2012 Music Festival!
