Live Nation and Timbre Concerts have announced that pop multi-instrumentalist Gotye will be returning to Vancouver to play an all-ages show at Deer Lake Park on Friday, August 31, in support of his latest release Making Mirrors.

The Belgian-Australian singer-songwriter, also known as Wouter De Backer, is a self-described “music-making mutant” with an eclectic style and an ear for pop hooks. He has released three solo studio albums, his latest featuring the ubiquitous single “Somebody That I Used To Know”.

The Gotye show is part of this year’s Concerts in the Park series. Since 2002, the series has annually attracted thousands of concert goers to outdoor venues across the lower mainland, including Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park and Deer Lake Park in Burnaby.

Tickets for the show are priced at $45 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale next Friday (June 8) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase at all Ticketmaster Outlets and Rogers Wireless Box Office.
