    1 of 1 2 of 1

A quartet of playwright-actors is ready to turn one of the city’s landmark watering holes into a theatre venue. The four women behind the [un]BOX[ed] show at the Railway Club are each debuting a work as well as acting in one another’s short plays. The offerings are Kaitlin Williams’s Boxed, about urban isolation amid Vancouver’s dense apartment towers; Mary J. Eden’s Run to the Mountain, about strangers trapped in a mysterious cell; Diana Squires’s Four Women Who Work, an exploration of job dissatisfaction; and Frances Kitson’s The Rules, an absurdist look inside the women’s bathroom. Shows run at 7:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday (July 3 to 7), with a matinee at 2 p.m. on the final day.
