This "Red Hot Mama" is a fire hazard

Here's a Halloween costume that was just too hot for the marketplace.

Today (December 6), Health Canada issued a recall notice concerning the "Red Hot Mama" adult costume, which was sold at various retailers from 2004 to 2011. Ironically, the federal department warns, "If exposed to a flame such as from candles, matches or lighters, the feather trim could catch fire and possibly cause burns to consumers."

Health Canada says no injuries to Canadians have been reported as a result of this costume, of which around 23 units were sold. Anyone who bought the "Red Hot Mama" (model number 6802980 and UPC number 037693029858) is being encouraged to return it to Paper Magic Group Inc. for a refund.

The same Pennsylvania-based manufacturer's "Glamour Witch" costume was recalled back in October.
