July Fourth Toilet

The victims number in the dozens, perhaps hundreds. For some, the symptoms (inability to concentrate, a ringing in the ears, the constant feeling you've got a polyster-pants-related rash) may not become apparent for years; for others, the effects are more immediate. Recognizing the damage it has caused over the years, local band July Fourth Toilet-a collective long before the poncey hacks in Broken Social Scene conceived their gruesome project-are giving something back to the kids and adults exposed to their musical machinations over the years. On Friday (November 25) at the Lamplighter the band of conceptual artistes present A Benefit for the Victims of July Fourth Toilet, featuring music, comedy, heartfelt speeches, a pledge drive, and, most of all, a sincere wish to undo some of the harm caused by the group over the years. Now, if only we could get rid of this rash…
