Due to popular demand, JFL NorthWest comedy fest has added another show on March 9 for Mike Birbiglia's The New One.

In addition to the show at 7 p.m at the Vogue, there will now be a 9:30 performance.

It's a sign of Birbiglia's growing following, built through films like Sleepwalk With Me, acting appearances on TV shows from Orange Is the New Black to Inside Amy Schumer, and hit albums like My Secret Public Journal Live. One of his most well-known roles was Brie Larson’s painfully boring husband in Trainwreck.

Earlier this week, the fest added another new show for comedian Jo Koy. "We know Vancouver has the best comedy fans in Canada. And the incredible response to the announcement of this year's festival line-up proves it," fest director Heather Wallace said. "We're very excited to be able to add second shows for both Mike Birbiglia and Jo Koy. We have more comedy surprises in the new year so stay tuned for more JFL NorthWest announcements and get ready for a very funny March."

The fest runs March 1 to 10 at venues around town; find the full schedule here.
