Vancouver Mural Festival has just announced it's opened artist submissions for its summer 2018 event--its third annual outing.

Dates for the free public-art celebration, which culminates in a street party with concerts, are from August 6 to 11.

Artists from here and worldwide can apply online between now and February 28. The application page is here.

The fest plans to select between 20 to 30 artists this year for the main event in Mount Pleasant. Submissions will also be considered forthe VMF's other projects around the city this spring and summer. 

The event usually selects about 80 percent of its Mount Pleasant artists from the Vancouver area. Last year it brought 60 new pieces of street art to the East Side.

Note that the fest does not accept mural designs at this stage; its curatorial decisions are based on artists' past work through online portfolios.
