The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth

      From April 8 to 14,  Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth presents screenings and events at VIFF's Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street) and the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews).

      Highlights include the opening-night presentation of the BBC nature documentary Earth: One Amazing Day, narrated by Robert Redford (view the trailer below); plus screenings of Cloudboy, High FantasyPrincess CydA Silent VoiceSpeak UpTreasures, and Village Rockstars.

      Sunday Fun Day!, at the Roundhouse on April 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., includes an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, four short programs featuring local and international films, animation workshops, and more. Also, new this year, immersive-reality activities including three projects from the National Film Board of Canada: Blind Vaysha – VR; Cardboard Crash; Tidal Traces, and I Am Not Afraid by Emily Carr’s Maria Lantin.
