The Cultch's 45th-anniversary 2018-19 season will mark four local world premieres and the return of favourites like Children of God and the East Van Panto. It also features a project marking the 100th anniversary of the First World War armistice, the Ceasefire Series, and an expanded, female-centred Femme Series.

The debuting Vancouver-made creations include Upintheair Theatre's A Brief History of Human Extinction; VACT's The Ones We Leave Behind, by Loretta Seto; Three Winters, written and directed by Amiel Gladstone; and Realwheels Theatre's Act of Faith, by Janet Munsil.

Other big highlights include  the return of Montreal's most rockin' dance company, Frédérick Gravel, withThis Duet That We’ve Already Done (so many times); L'orchestre d'hommes-orchestres' New Cackle Sisters: Kitchen Chicken; Mrs. Krishnan's Party from New Zealand's Indian Ink; Testosterone, from the U.K.'s Rhum and Clay; and Nassim, a new play by Nassim Soleimanpour (White Rabbit Red Rabbit).

Returning hits span Children of God, Corey Payette’s national-touring musical about residential schools, Australia's female-powered Hot Brown Honey, Ronnie Burkett's Little Dickens, and Theatre Replacement’s beloved East Van Panto, back for its sixth year with a warped spin on The Wizard of Oz. The Panto sees the return of artists Veda Hille, Dawn Petten, Raugi Yu, and Andrew McNee, with director Stephen Drover (director of East Van Panto: Hansel & Gretel) working with a script by Marcus Youssef. Cultchivating the Fringe winner Multiple Organism, by Mind of a Snail, also hits the Cultch stage.

The Cultch’s 2018-19 season will also see the return of the Femme Series with Ukraine's Dakh Daughters, New Zealand's Power Ballad , and Much Ado About Nothing, an all-female production from Vancouver's Classic Chic.

In November 2018, the Ceasefire Series ranges from the play SmallWaR — the follow up to Big Mouth; Three Winters, a play about the Second World War by  Gladstone; and The Believers Are But Brothers, about current warfare and recruitment.
