From May 31 to June 9, Touchstone Theatre presents Amy Lee Lavoie's C'mon Angie! at the Firehall Arts Centre (280 East Cordova Street).

The sixth installment of the FLYING START program, which gives a stage to new professional playwrights, Amy Lee Lavoie's C'mon Angie! takes place the morning after a one-night stand, when questions of consent lead to a highly charged confrontation between a man and a woman. C’mon, Angie! stars Kayla Deorksen and Robert Moloney with Lauren Taylor directing. The production features a creative team of young designers: Sarah Mabberley on set, Alaia Hamer on costumes, and Sammie Hatch on sound, with Adrian Muir on lights. Assistant Director is Naomi Vogt, and Lauren Taylor and Roy Surette round out the team as Dramaturgs.

Performances take place Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday to Saturday at 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m., with a pay-what-you-can matinee Wednesday at 1 p.m. Post-show conversations facilitated by Women Against Violence Against Women representatives will take place Sunday, June 3 (matinee); Tuesday, June 5 (evening); and Wednesday, June 6 (matinee). Talkback with artists will take place Thursday, June 7.

Tickets $20 to $33, available on the Firehall website or by phone at 604-689-0926.
