Tickets now on sale for Vancouver Opera season and festival

      Tickets are now on sale for the 2018—19 Vancouver Opera season and its third annual festival next spring.

      The regular season opens with Franz Lehár’s comedic operetta The Merry Widow, October 20—28 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, followed by Giacomo Puccini’s blockbuster La Bohème from February 14 to 24, 2019, at the same venue. The latter is staged like a giant vintage Parisian postcard by celebrated Canadian designer and director duo André Barbe and Renaud Doucet, who wowed crowds with last year's eye-popping Turandot.

      The 2019 Vancouver Opera Festival, themed Fairytales & Fables, runs from April 27 to May 5, 2019. and features Charles Gounod’s Faust (April 27- May 5 at the Queen E.) and Giaochino Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Cinderella), (April 27 to May 12 at the Vancouver Playhouse). Those two productions join a series of events, speakers, and more.
