Snowed In Comedy Tour gets robbed
The Snowed In Comedy Tour has been cruising around Canada every Winter for 11 years now. For 2019, four very different veteran comedians—Dan Quinn, Paul Myrehaug, Pete Zedlacher, and Erica Sigurdsen—are set to delight audiences across Canada from January to April.
This year there are also other new additions to the line-up. Three-time female comedian of the year, Debra DiGiovanni (Video on Trial, Match Game, Debra DiGiovanni: Single, Awkward, Female) joins a leg of the tour, with Flight of the Conchords’ Arj Barker rounding out the rest of the lineup of Snowed in Comedy Tour veterans, with five-time Canadian comedian of the year nominee Pete Zedlacher, Just for Laughs winner Dan Quinn, the $25,000 Great Canadian Laugh Off winner Paul Myrehaug, and other special guest appearances.
The comedy crew had a few days off before their show here in Vancouver this weekend. During the break, a thief broke into their car—and, perhaps in an attempt to start their own Snowed In Comedy Tour—stole the show’s backdrop banner.
“Wondering if there is going to be a comedy show under a bridge with the world’s best backdrop. Hope it doesn’t draw better than us," said Quinn via email.
The lack of a backdrop won’t stop the tour, however, as the comedy quartet will be performing in Vernon on Friday, and then in Vancouver on February 9 at The Rio Theatre.
And who knows? Maybe they’ll have a sparkling new banner to show off!
