After a day of walking the picket line in the snow, Vancouver Art Gallery employees may soon find themselves back at work.

Tonight, their union, CUPE Local 15, has announced that it's reached a tentative agreement with the employer at the bargaining table.

It was achieved with the help of mediation after workers walked off the job on February 5.

And it came a day after the two top officials at the B.C. Federation of Labour, president Laird Cronk and secretary treasurer Sussanne Skidmore, joined workers on the picket line.

No details have been released about the terms or duration of the agreement.

A union ratification vote is scheduled on Monday (February 11).
